Abstract

This study explores the communication barriers faced by dentists when dealing with illiterate patients in Algeria, highlighting the role of interpretive translation in bridging understanding. Findings reveal that the main obstacle lies not only in illiteracy but also in the complexity of medical terminology, emphasizing the need for linguistic mediation and simplified communication within clinical practice.
