أنموذجا Family Guy استراتيجيات ترجمة السخرية في الرسوم المتحركة من الانجليزية إلى العربية

Abstract

This research aims to study the strategies for translating irony in animated series from English into Arabic through a case study of Family Guy. The study focuses on how the satirical dimensions of the original work are conveyed into Arabic, highlighting the challenges faced by translators due to cultural, religious, and political differences. The research relies on a comparative analysis of selected satirical excerpts from the series, categorized by their political, social, or cultural nature. The findings reveal that the main strategies employed in translating irony include literal translation, cultural equivalence, clarification, and omission when no adequate equivalent can be found.
