Abstract
This study aims to highlight the concept of mind mapping developed by the
scientist Tony Buzan, which is a means and tool that aids in interpretation and
learning. It is based on organizing and representing information in a way that makes
it easier for the mind to comprehend and store. Translation is a process and a
mental activity that requires a constant and ongoing activation of the translator's
cognitive functions. From this perspective, the relationship between translation
education and mind maps emerges, as the latter focuses on developing and
improving the capacity and efficiency of learners and teachers to understand texts,
organize ideas, and quickly comprehend them, thus achieving high-quality
translations.
