Abstract
This study describes how Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools can help
reduce speaking anxiety among EFL students, focusing on how they contribute to
improving language proficiency using a mixed-methods approaches. After analysing
the data, it was found that AI tools helped reduce speaking anxiety, including
pronunciation, fluency, and vocabulary improvement, relying on AI-enabled
applications through optimal use. However, some students faced technical
difficulties, such as a lack of emotional interaction compared to humans. This study
concludes that AI tools are an effective support for developing speaking skills, but
they must be balanced with effective human interaction.
