Abstract
This study aims to identify the problematic aspects oftranslating advertising discourse in
chevrolet carsand to analyze some of its slogans from a ciriticalprespective in order to identify the
most important methods and strategies used bythe Companyin translating advertising slogans from
english to Arabic and to identifythe most important difficulties faced by the specialized translator
and the skills that should be required in the specialized translator especially in the field of
advertising and advertising translation .
