Abstract

This study deals with the problematic issue of translating religious terms in the book Hisn al-Muslim (Quranic verses and prayers) and through a comparative analytical approach of six well-known and pioneering translations relying on previous studies in the field of religious translation, we concluded that religious translation requires accuracy, literalism, and the aesthetics of the language. The translator must also have comprehensive knowledge of the different sects and religious interpretations, and he must be familiar with the source language and the target language.
