Etude des propriétés thermodynamiques des mélanges de polymères et de cristaux liquides recyclés

Abstract

The present study focuses on the development and characterization of mixtures containing liquid crystals dispersed in a polymer matrix (PDLC) following the TIPS preparation method, based on Poly 2-ethylhexyl acrylate (p-2EHA) and recycled liquid crystal (CLR). Different compositions were prepared, then characterized by various analytical techniques in order to determine the properties of these materials. FTIR spectroscopy, differential enthalpy analysis DSC and polarized light optical microscopy (MOP) provided information on molecular structure, optical properties and thermal transitions. The results collected make it possible to evaluate the variations of composition and their impacts on the properties of the PDLC systems.
