Abstract

his research involves two fundamental problems : the problem of taboo and the problem of how translating it in « Sarajevo Firewood »’novel by Said Khatibi .The research included three chapters in which we discussed the relationship between culture and translation . Also, the difficulties encountered by the translator when transferring terminology in a given field due to linguistic and cultural differences. Perhaps the most important reason is not to find the equivalent in the target language.
