Abstract
This research work deals with the issue of the linguistic and cognitive
development of Algerian bilingual children residing in the Netherlands. The study
aims to explore how bilingualism influences their language acquisition and cognitive
growth, examining the interplay between their Arabic and Dutch language skills. It
also seeks to understand the impact of a bilingual environment on their cognitive
flexibility, problem-solving abilities, and cultural identity. By focusing on this specific
group, the research aims to provide insights into the broader implications of
bilingualism in multicultural settings, contributing to educational strategies and
policy-making for bilingual children. translate to arabic
