Abstract
The objective of the work carried out in this thesis is the elimination of heavy
metals by complexation / adsorption using a new organic ligand (2E) -2-
benzylidenehydrazine-1-carbothioamide thiosemicarabzone and thiosemicarbazide and to make a comparative study between their power to eliminate metals. The choice of ligand synthesized was made for its polydentate structure, with several potential donor sites capable of chelating heavy metals in water. The kinetic studies of adsorption studied on (2E) -2-benzylidenehydrazine-1-carbothioamide thiosemicarabzone and thiosemicarbazide show that these two last ligands are good adsorbents of metallic pollutants in aqueous solution and they have the same capacity to eliminate the metals. This result has been confirmed in the context of depollution of waste water.
