Abstract

The present study aims to determine the problematic areas that confront the translator when translating popular proverbs. This practical study, shows us the degree of difficulty of the translator's mission to transmit the meaning with the same depth and the same connotation from one society to another and from one culture to another one, keeping the same emotions produced by the source text and reproducing them in the target text.
