Abstract

This research aims at shedding light on a linguistic matter related to a contrastive study in between the two languages: Arabic and English in the use of some meanings of some prepositions. This referring to the classical theory that distinguishes the differences between the two languages that are not from the same family. The core aim of such a study is to point at those difficulties faced by the translator as a beginner dealing with English when translating the prepositions from Arabic into English or vice versa and those functional contexts.
