Abstract
This study explores the effectiveness of integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) in
improving reading skills in English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) contexts. This
experimental research at Aboubakr Belkaid University of Tlemcen found that AI
tools enhance grammar and reading comprehension. Such benefits included realtime feedback, student engagement, and customised learning. However, drawbacks
included large class sizes, time constraints, and potential overreliance on AI. Careful
implementation is needed to address challenges like vocabulary decline and
potential overreliance on AI.
