Abstract

The Popular proverb is the mirror of the society which reflects the traditions of the individuals and their life experiences. This study aims to spot the difficulties that the translator encounters when translating popular proverbs and to explore the strategies used in the translation. We have chosen the Touat popular proverb as a study case of our research.
