Abstract

Translation has an undeniable role in cultural interaction, as it serves as a mean of substitution and interpretation between nations to facilitate mutual understanding. However,confusion and misunderstanding lies in a place not far from assimilation where the beauty of the text can be lost under the label of erroneous translation. This is the result of several reasons that we have addressed in our research to demonstrate that translation requires specialization in the field in which the interpreter works. Subtitling was our chose towards the demonstration of our theory, as it is a type of specialized translation in the audiovisual field.
