Encapsulation was performed on Fluconazole in niosomal suspensions of two types of nonionic surfactants: Tween 80 and Span 20, and in liposomal suspensions using a phospholipid: soy lecithin. Bangham’s classical method of moisturizing a lipid film was used to obtain miltilamellar vesicles. Sonication was chosen to obtain unilamellar vesicles. Cholesterol/surfactant ratios have been varied to determine the best rate of encapsulation. The encapsulation rate was calculated following a Fluconazole assay by ultraviolet/visible spectrophotometry .size determination was performed by a zetasizer the best niosomal formulation in terms of encapsulation rate was obtained with Fluconazole saline using the cholesterol/Tween 80 1/6 ratio. The rate reached 74% with an average size of 723 nm and multilamellar type. Liposomes gave encapsulation rates slightly better than niosomes.en_US
