Abstract

In this research, we try to focus on the contributions of translation to English language learning in Algeria using the competency approach. Translating the exercises’ instructions has become complementary and necessary step for learners’ acquisition of the English language because it enhances linguistic support and self-confidence and contributes to developing their abilities to perform effectively.
