Abstract

Abstract :After the years of independence of the Maghreb countries, intellectual concerns were dominant on several subjects, especially since these nations had to adapt to the developments of the time. The most significant discussions revolved around themes such as identity, belonging, and heritage. These concerns gave rise to challenges that, in turn, led to another debate, namely cultural differences and their interaction both among themselves and with the arts. Cultural diversity itself sparked important debates, particularly when intellectuals associated it with humanity, its social concerns, which they devote to achieving political or artistic goals. An observer of the phenomenon of cultural diversity in the Maghreb (Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco) notes its impressive impact on the artistic concept and creativity, especially in easel painting and all artistic techniques that emerged in the 20th century. The region has witnessed the emergence of an art closely linked to its local heritage and influenced by cultural diversity, for example, Arabic calligraphy, when combined with other art forms and various cultures, gives birth to calligraphic art, where Maghrebian artists have restored the lost brilliance to the content of authenticity revealing their knowledge of our artistic heritage through masterpieces that resist identity erasure and invest in its diversity.
