Abstract

Our research compares the output of an experienced human translator with that of the intelligent robot, ChatGPT, for culturally nuanced excerpts, aiming to address the ongoing debate and alleviate concerns about the AI's ability to replace human translators. The results were highly satisfactory, with ChatGPT outperforming neural machine translation systems and demonstrating improvement. While some shortcomings can be addressed by providing specific instructions, this marks a significant leap in the field. Our objective is to embrace these modern technologies, stay up-to-date, and maximize their benefits.
