Abstract
The main objective of translating advertising posters is to promote and market the region
and its products, and attract as many consumers as possible . Advertising poster translators
aim to effectively and efficiently convey the advertising message, despite the linguistic and
cultural difficulties and obstacles they encounter when translating the message into another
language, while taking into account the culture and language of the recipient. During our
research, we have identified some points related to the role of advertising posters in
facilitating understanding, clarifying meaning to the recipient, and developing the tourism
and economic aspects of the region. We have also highlighted translation techniques and
methods used in translating advertising posters. Through our study of some examples and
models, we have pointed out the requirements and shortcomings of translating advertising
posters in order to make them more effective for the recipient.
