Abstract
This study aims at showing the impact of distance learning via the educational platform Microsoft
Teams on the enhancement of the oral competences of L2 students. To fulfil our objective, a survey
has been conducted with L2 French students using two research instruments: a questionnaire that was
administered to oral teachers at university of Tlemcen and an observation not participating with two
heterogeneous groups of learners in the two different educational models :( face-to-face model and elearning model). The gathered data revealed that although distance learning is not the optimal option
for oral learning, it has some positive aspects in the development of certain oral competences such as
oral comprehension competence and autonomous learning
