Abstract
The aim the present research is to highlight the importance of grammar
for LMD2 students at the department of biology at Tlemcen University. The
scope of this investigation is concerned with the status of the teaching and
testing of grammar through assessing the ESP practitioners’ performance,
motivation and attitudes towards grammar. In this sense, the investigator tried
to analyze the ESP practitioners’ strategies and techniques of grammar teaching
and testing that would reflect on the teaching/learning process. Secondly,
assessment for effective grammar teaching would also serve the context as
whole and reach communicative objectives particularly.
