dc.description.abstractThe aim of this research is to evidence the utility of film adaptations, as a pedagogical tool per se, for the teaching of literature. The results have revealed the efficacy of this genre of films in generating a suitable learning environment, enhancing students’ motivation and improving their comprehension. Besides, such audio-visual means is in accordance with their learning styles. Hence, the incorporation of film adaptations in the literature syllabus sounds advisable to promote the teaching of literary texts in English language classrooms.en_US
