| dc.description.abstract | Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the English language learning through the delivery of adaptive and personalized tools that increased the level of interaction and proficiency among students. AI systems offer a personalized learning, instant feedback, and automated grading to enable learners to construct skills efficiently. This research work is a case study which examined the use of AI in English learning through a students’ questionnaire addressed to 101 master 1 students in English language and a teachers’ interview including 4 teachers in the English Department at Tlemcen and Oran universities. The questionnaires administered to students and the structured interviews conducted with English language teachers are addressed to collect data, which are qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed. The findings indicated that although teachers see the potential for AI, its implementation remained a challenge. Students voiced a strong desire for learning with AI, recognizing its effect on participation, interaction, and skill’s acquisition.
