dc.description.abstractThe present research explores the use of English as a global language in a multinational setting. It particularly focuses on the use of and the attitude towards English in a multinational business communication context in Algeria. Therefore; it stresses the necessity of developing the communicative skills in the workplace. Based on the results obtained from a questionnaire and observation of the communicative practice of employees in a petroleum and gas services in Hassi Messoud, it was revealed that the vast majority of the respondents hold a positive attitude towards the use of English given its importance in today‟s globalised world. The study also displays the wider use of the English language in multiple activities in this field, such as mailing, conferences, meetings and phone communication.en_US
