Abstract

This study aims to conduct a critical evaluation of the translation of political speeches, by translating Joe Biden’s speech on the Palestinian issue as a model in order to extrapolate the complexities and challenges resulting from translating political speech by introducing a descriptive and analytical approach. This study sheds light on how translation and interpretation affect the understanding of political speeches. The results highlight that the translator’s performance in translating Joe Biden’s speech reflects a deep understanding to translation techniques and language, which emphasizes the importance of the translator’s role in facilitating cultural understanding and conveying political messages accurately.
