Entre fiction et réalité : le pouvoir de la littérature dans la construction de l’histoire nationale algérienne à travers « Au vent mauvais» de kaouther adimi

Abstract

In this study, we explored how Kaouther Adimi’s novel Au vent mauvais uses literature to examine Algerian history, focusing on the impact of colonization, the war of independence, and social upheavals on collective memory and national identity. Our analysis reveals that literature offers a profound understanding of the sufferings, struggles, and hopes of the Algerian people, while highlighting the crucial role of the writer in the transmission and reinterpretation of history. We demonstrate that Adimi’s novel does not merely recount historical facts but serves as a means of exploring the hidden dimensions and emotional truths linked to this complex history
