dc.description.abstractThe notion of “washback” is known as the impact of testing on teaching and learning. Accordingly, the present research work aims to investigate the washback effects of highstakes exams on the EFL learning-teaching process. Besides, the study seeks to highlight the negative outcomes that result from this effect. So that, we find out the ways in which we can minimize the negative consequences and foster positive washback through a case study of Mostefa Mostefai Secondary school, Nedroma.en_US
