Abstract
Our work is a contribution to a research program on the thermodynamic characterization of binary and ternary mixtures containing oxygenated additives and hydrocarbons.
Experimental vapor-liquid equilibria (VLE) measurements of pure compounds and mixtures were carried out at 313,15K using a static apparatus.
Data reduction by Barker’s method provides correlations for GE and estimation of interaction parameters using the Wohl, NRTL, Wilson and UNIQUAC models.
UNIFAC (Dortmund) and COSMO-RS models were used to predict phase diagrams and the experimental results were compared to those obtained by modeling.
Obtained results using the activity coefficients or predictive models show the ability of some models to represent correctly the fluid phase equilibria.
