Abstract
In this thesis, we sought to understand the innovation strategies of Algerian
enterprises; we focused on Business Intelligence (BI) as a factor influencing
innovation within the enterprise. Drawing on the theoretical literature, we
identified absorptive capacity as the factor linking Business Intelligence and
innovation, and we adopted a proposed model, which encompasses all study
variables.
We employed a descriptive approach for the theoretical aspect as well as an
analytical approach. To test the study’s hypotheses, we designed a questionnaire
that was distributed to a number of Algerian enterprises (118), during their
participation in the 31st edition of the National Production Fair in 2023. The
questionnaire was analyzed using factor analysis to test the stability of the
measurement scales and linear regression to determine the relationship between
the study variables.
The results showed a positive effect of Business Intelligence on absorptive
capacity, as well as a positive (albeit slight) effect of absorptive capacity on
innovation. Finally, the study’s research question was answered by confirming
the hypothesis that Business Intelligence has a positive effect on innovation
within Algerian enterprises.
