Various studies have been carried out in the sphere of language attitudes. The study at hand aimed at measuring parents’ attitudes towards the introduction of English as a subject in the Algerian primary school. The study relied on a mixed questionnaire that covered forty (40) participants randomly selected. The findings revealed that the majority of the participants have positive attitudes toward the inclusion of English as a school subject in primary education instead of delaying it until the middle school as it is currently the case. These attitudes are governed by the present status of English, being the world language. However, still a minority of teachers expressed their preference to keep the situation as it is, with only French introduced to learners in primary schools.en_US
