Laurus nobilis, an aromatic shrub, belongs to the Laureaceae family, widespread throughout the Mediterranean basin, widely used as a culinary condiment, as well as for its traditional medicinal properties. This study was carried out to evaluate the antibiofilm activity of two essential oil compounds (cineole and eugenol) and a phenolic compound (rutin), of Laurus nobilis towards the ALS3 protein target involved in adhesion and biofilm formation in Candida albicans using bioinformatics tools, notably molecular docking. The results obtained revealed a high affinity between the Laurus nobilis compounds studied and the selected target, notably rutin, which forms the most stable complex with the ALS3 protein (-8.8 kcal/mol). The interactions obtained are mainly hydrogen, hydrophobic interactions with the active site amino acids.
