Literature is basically the art of writing. It has been used by man since centuries. In fact literature is an important expression of the culture of an individual. The present research paper attempts to find information about language and culture which are the main ingredients of a literary work. The purpose of this research work is to figure out the way both elements are used in literary works such as Mark Twain‟s The Adventures of Hucklberry Finn and Abdelhamid Benhadouga‟s South Wind. It reveals the importance of language and culture since they are the main components that attract the reader‟s attention, and then lead to a response.en_US
