In the matter of exploring English language proficiency in Algerian Higher Education, this study focuses on FILA (Finance Internationale et L‟Anglais Academique) speciality at Tlemcen University, addressing challenges and opportunities in EFL (English as a Foreign Language) learning. Through classroom observation and students‟ and teachers‟ questionnaires, insights were gained into factors influencing student success. Findings reveal disparities in motivation between Finance and English subjects, emphasizing the need for tailored language strategies. Despite initial challenges, students recognize the importance of English proficiency in finance. The study advocates for a supportive learning environment and practical language practice to empower students‟ success. Collaborative planning and student-centered approaches are key to enhance FILA language instruction.en_US
