Abstract
The present dissertation tries to analyse the assessment of the reading skill
within the Competency-Based Approach at secondary school level for Third
Year Foreign Languages Stream. The present work has equally been targeted
towards finding the real causes behind learners failure in the reading skill. All in
all, this very modest work tries to seek some reading assessment tasks that help
both teachers and learners.
