Abstract

This master thesis presents the development and validation of an innovative bidimensional-coding scheme tailored for optical CDMA systems. Addressing the dual challenges of mitigating multiple access interference (MAI) and reducing system complexity, the research begins with a comprehensive overview of optical communication principles. A critical review of existing OCDMA technologies outlines the limitations inherent in current methods. The experimental results, supported by detailed simulations, demonstrate the superior performance and feasibility of the proposed approach. The findings not only substantiate the theoretical framework but also establish a promising direction for future optical network enhancements.
