Abstract

Theoretical and detailed study of the linear polarization and the ratio of the Lyman-α lines emitted by recombined hydrogen-like ions Fe25+, due to the radiative recombination of the bare Fe26+ ions, was established. This result from collisions between bare Fe26+ and a unidirectional beam of monoénergetic beam of electrons having energies varying from 1 to 50 keV. We have studied in this work the contribution to the properties of the Lyman-α lines for Fe25+ ions coming from the indirect radiative recombination process through radiative cascades. The radiative recombination process is an important and dominant mechanism of population of excited levels in photoionized plasmas of low electronic densities.
