Abstract

In recent years a particular interest was given to the replacement of fossil fuels (exhaustible and polluting) and fissile material (more dangerous) by the clean and inexhaustible solar energy. Thanks to the photovoltaic effect to convert solar energy into electricity is possible. Since the fifties several studies and development of photovoltaic devices have been developed. The first works were intended primarily to aerospace. Today's photovoltaic applications are numerous. Among the devices that we are interested in this work is the photovoltaic Emiter wrap throught solar cell. This work is devoted to the state of the art solar cells, then the theoretical study of EWT cells and simulation of some of its physical parameters (thickness of the substrate, the emitter and the BSF and that doping), the software Silvaco-Atlas.
