Résumé: | The swelling behavior properties of the poly(HBMA-co-2-EHA/crosslinking) copolymers networks in isotropic solvents (ethanol, methanol and cyclohexane) and nematic liquid crystal 5CB were investigated as a function of chemical nature and concentration of HBMA and 2-EHA monomers, temperature, density and nature of the crosslinking agent PPGDA900, TPGDA and HDDA. The first part of this work concerns the synthesis and characterization by swelling of these networks as a function of variables cited above. An optimization of the swelling ratio of these model networks by the experiment design methodology is dedicated to the second part of this work. This technique allows to determine the effects of each coefficient influential on the swelling rate and to highlight the coefficient most influencing the latter. To better interpret the results obtained, a thermal characterization of our samples was carried out by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The experimental results were optimized using theoretical models of Fox, Gordon-Taylor and CouchmanKarasz. The results obtained are in good agreement with experience. |
