Résumé: The present work is devoted to the correlation and prediction of the thermodynamic properties of binary systems derived from oxygen of interest for biodiesel production using the CPA cubic state equation, which is the combination of two terms, a cubic term of the SRK (SoaveRedlich Kwong) state equation and the associated term. The experimental data of the liquid-vapour equilibrium available in the literature as well as the parameters (ao, b, ...) have been used to represent the thermodynamic properties of binary systems containing glycerol at atmospheric pressure and 1,3-propanediol at temperatures ranging from (313.15K to 363.15K). We used the quadratic mixing rule to determine the kij parameters. Calculations show that the CPA equation is able to correctly represent the equilibrium diagrams of systems derived from biomass. The results obtained are of particular importance since chemical industry engineers depend on the predictive capabilities of the equations of state.
