Abstract

This empirical study is a classroom based investigation on secondyear students at the Preparatory School of Economics; its main aim is to examine whether training learners to read authentic materials with a focus on a set of strategies awareness may respond positively to their academic and professional needs and help them to enhance their language ability, skills and cultural awareness or not.
