Abstract
Traditional inverters are bulky, less efficient, and have complex control systems, making
them unsuitable for compact renewable energy solutions. This thesis proposes a
Switched-Inductor Split-Source Inverter (SI-SSI)—a single-stage, transformerless design
that combines voltage boosting and DC-AC conversion. Using a 100V input, it delivers
10kW output, modeled in MATLAB with SPWM control. Hardware implementation
uses the SG3525A PWM IC, enabling adjustable switching frequency with simple RT/CT
components. Tests show a stable three-phase output and 40% fewer components than
traditional systems, with comparable performance. The SI-SSI is compact, efficient, and
ideal for clean energy systems. Keywords: SI-SSI, SPWM, Single-Stage, Voltage Boost
