الاغنية الشعبية هي التي تتوافر شفاها بين أفراد الجماعة مكتسبة صفة الإستمرارية لأزمنة طويلة أي أنها إبداع جماعي وفني مأثور تتوسل بالكلمة اللحن الإيقاع ذلك للتعبير عن ظروف حياتهم.والأحداث التي تحدث لهم خلال حياتهم من هذا المنطلق إستطاع الشاعر الشعبي أن يرصد صورا واضحة المعالم لشخصيات الأنبياء والرسل The popular song is the one that is heard among the members of the group, acquiring the quality of continuity over long periods of time, that is, it is a collective and artistic creation that is popular and uses the word, the melody and the rhythm to express the circumstances of their lives.
