| dc.description.abstract | This thesis critically analyses the ideological and linguistic strategies used by ISIS in Dabiq and Rumiyah magazines (2014–2017) to radicalise English-speaking audiences. Using a tripartite Critical Discourse Analysis approach (Fairclough, van Dijk, Wodak), the study explores multimodal narratives, identity construction, and legitimisation of violence. It proposes evidence-based counter-discourse strategies to resist extremist ideology. The findings contribute to linguistic, security, and educational policymaking. | |
