Abstract

The production of photovoltaics Cells requires energy. The regular depletion of fossil energy sources associated with current environmental considerations (pollution and global warming) means that this technology is now tending to become more democratic and gradually to become essential. This is why we turned to another way of doing things and a completely different system, dye solar cells (Grätzel) is a new photovoltaic technology, the manufacture of which is much cheaper and cleaner for the environment. The aim of our work is to study the physicochemical properties, the lowest occupied molecular orbital energies (HOMO), the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energies (LUMO) and non-linear optical properties (NLO). Triphenylamine used in dye solar cells using Gaussian 09 software and HF and DFT methods.
