The Growing Interest in Learning English Among CEIL Students at Tlemcen University: Motives and Attitudes

Abstract

This research work is aimed to investigate the motives and attitudes of students regarding English language. The research work was based on the qualitative and quantitative research methodology based on the questionnaire distributed to 56 CEIL students learning English as a second foreign language at the University of Tlemcen. The analysed data prove that globalization had huge impact on these students. Additionally the findings indicated positive perceptions from the Algerian society toward English expecting it to have a bright future in the country.
