Implementing English in primary schools in Algeria was a decision made by the Algerian Educational Government to introduce the English language as a new foreign language, and allow young learners to benefit from it and gain opportunities for their future lives. The present research work is based on quantitative and qualitative analysis. It aims to explore and describe the teaching experience. It’s an exploratory study for the sake of knowing teachers’ attitudes towards implementing English and listing the main obstacles and difficulties they faced during the experience. Boucharef Benaissa primary school is taken as a case in point. A questionnaire and an observation were used as research tools. The results show that both teachers and pupils welcomed and supported the idea of teaching and learning English.en_US
