Résumé: This work concerns the physicochemical study of the interactions between polyelectrolytes and surfactants. The copolymer chosen is cmc-AM-4VP and the surfactant is SDS. After reviewing the literature on surfactants, polyelectrolytes and their interactions in the same aqueous medium, we have modified the cmc by acrylamide (AM) and 4-vinylpyridine (4VP). The obtained copolymer (cmc-AM-4VP) was characterized by: ATG, FTIR and DRX which showed us that our copolymer is amorphous and has a graft structure. The value of the CMC of SDS in the absence and in the presence of the NaCl salt (0,1M) was determined by viscosimetry and conductimetry. It agrees well with that of literature. In fact, the salt promotes micellization because it decreases the repulsion between the charges of the surfactant. However, it has been possible to demonstrate by viscosimetry and conductimetry that the cmc-AM4VP copolymer has a polyelectrolyte behavior in aqueous solution. In the end, we could not study the interactions between the copolymer and the surfactant because of COVID19.
