Abstract
Photovoltaic solar energy is one of the most widely used renewable energies. It consists of
converting directly the electromagnetic (solar) radiation into electricity through the production and
transport in a semiconductor material. This work represents the study of recent realization of the
inorganic SC (CZT) formed from CdZnTe semiconductors. It has been processed under different postprocessing
atmospheres. In this configuration, we have developed a python program which is used to
determine the I-V characteristic and we also deduce the photovoltaic parameters (the power, the form
factor, the effeciency), with an accuracy of 10-5. The results obtained show that the theoretical limit of
the efficiency was not so far from the experimental value. Indeed, for the case of the Ar + O2
atmosphere, we have shown that an improvement that does not exceed 15.31% can be achieved by
developing the appropriate experimental techniques.
