Résumé: | In this study, we prepared a hybrid mesoporous material SBA-15 functionalized by two organic functions such as 3-Mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane (MPTMS), and 3-Aminopropyletrimethoxysilane (APTMS), according to direct synthesis and post synthesis strategies. Furthermore, the prepared materials was characterized using the following techniques: nitrogen adsorption-desoprtion and FT-IR. The results show the grafting of the two functions on the surface of the material SBA-15. This grafting also causes a decrease in the specific surface area. The second part of this work concerns the adsorption of heavy metals such as Lead and Cadmium on the materials prepared previously. The study was performed by varying the adsorbent procedure, contact time, initial metal concentration, and temperature. We found that the kinetics of the adsorption of both metal ions is fast. However, the adsorption of lead ions on both adsorbents is more efficient compared to cadmium ions. The adsorption of the metal ions does not depend on the specific surface area because the adsorbent prepared by direct synthesis of low specific surface area has adsorption capacities greater than that prepared by post-synthesis. |
